The Sharon Arts Center will be exhibiting a collaborative exhibition with the New Hampshire Institute of Art titled, “Documented: A Visual Narrative of An Artist’s Life.”  This exhibition will honor and feature the works of internationally recognized fine art photographer Nan Goldin and will open on Friday, August 10th.  Alongside the works of Nan Goldin will be examples from other fine art photographers: Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Michael Williamson and members of the New Hampshire Institute of Art community including Gary Samson, Beverly Conway and Doug Prince.  The exhibition is sponsored by the Sequoya Technologies Group LLC and will be held in conjunction with the MacDowell Medal Day. The exhibition will run through September 1st.

Three Graces Gallery of Portsmouth opens ReVisions works by Robin Luciano Beaty this Friday, August 3rd.   Beaty is an internationally recognized and award-winning encaustic artist from Newbury, Massachusetts and her works to be exhibited at 3 Graces feature a combination of both encaustic and mixed media. The opening will be held from 5-8 pm and the exhibition will run through September 2, 2012.

Art3 Gallery of 44 West Brook Street in Manchester will open their 2D 3D show this evening. Three-dimensional works such as tapestries, sculpture, ceramics and glass will be surrounded by two-dimensional works by several local artists.  Works by the Bueno Glass and following artists will be exhibited:

Have you visited the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum lately?  The construction of the Gardner’s new wing has brought a flurry of activity to the peaceful Boston museum.  Visit the Museum on Thursday, August 16th at 5pm for Gardner After Hours: Roman Holiday.  This event includes live music from 6-9pm, a ‘Gallery Game’ in the Tapestry Room and other events throughout the evening. For the past 4 years, Concord NH has celebrated the arts with a summer weekly Arts Market in Bicentennial Square.  This outdoor event features works for sale by artisans from many disciplines.  As Bicentennial Square is located just off of Main Street, there are also many shops and restaurants to visit as well!

Reserve a day in early August for the The 79th Annual Craftsmen’s Fair!  This fair presents fine arts and crafts works from over 350 members of the NH League of Craftsmen and is held at the Mt. Sunapee Resort in Newbury, NH. The fair runs from Saturday, August 4th through Sunday, August 12th.  To reserve your tickets and learn more about the fair, click on the link below:
